How this tool works
Convert still HEIC photos locally with a decoder loaded only when needed.
Choose supported files, review settings, process on your device, and inspect the output before downloading. Conversion may increase file size or change color representation. Re-encoding generally drops original metadata.
The local HEIC decoder loads on first use. A still image is exported; unsupported variants report an error. Keep the original and confirm orientation in the preview.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. All image processing happens in your browser. The chosen file is not sent to a server.
Which output formats can I use?
JPG, PNG and WebP are supported when the browser can encode them. Conversion routes use their named output format. Transparent pixels receive your selected fill color in JPEG.
What happens to image metadata?
Canvas re-encoding generally drops source metadata and may change color representation. When regular compression retains the smaller original, its metadata remains. Keep a backup of your source.
